Transmissions
Since 1984
Motor Works prides itself on its transmission division. We have been serving DeKalb and Northern Illinois since 1984, and have three Master Certified Specialists on staff.
Problems Are Not Always A Big Deal
Not every transmission problem requires a major overhaul. Motor Works staff is highly trained in the complex diagnosis of these units. Many problems involve failure of electronic control systems which can be repaired with the transmission still in the vehicle. This can save the customer a bundle.
Better Than Original
When transmission failures do require a rebuild, our finished product is second to none. Why should you choose Motor Works for your repair needs?
- Pricing is very reasonable; actually lower than much of our competition.
- The 3 year/36,000 mile warranty we provide is better than any other service facility we know.
- Our rebuilders incorporate updated parts and new design changes into every job they produce. This makes the final unit stronger than when it came from the factory.
I’ll Share A Secret
I know an old, Master Transmission Builder. We’ll call him Joe to hide his true name. He once told me, “If my customers changed their fluid every 30,000 miles, I’d go out of business.” Well, I couldn’t agree more, having seen fluid that was almost black at 80,000 miles on many cars. Fluid is supposed to be a translucent red color. Motor Works uses sophisticated machinery to thoroughly flush out and replace old, worn fluid. Pulling the pan and replacing the internal filter completes a first class job. I adore Joe, but let’s put him out of business. Have Motor Works service your transmission.
