We have been serving DeKalb and Northern Illinois customers since 1984. Our staff contains three ASE Master Certified Specialists.

Motor Works performs almost every conceivable type of automotive repair and service, but our single busiest center is our Engine Division. We keep one and more often two technicians working full time in this area. We repair every auto make and model including diesels and hybrids. Constant schooling, special tools and experience are all a critical part of our commitment.

Motor Works repairs: head gaskets, timing belts and chains, oil leaks, intake and exhaust manifolds, motor mounts, performs valve jobs, you name it.

Motor Works replaces engines: new, remanufactured and used.

Since Day One
Since the day we opened in 1984, engine work has poured through our door. Three of our very first jobs were: installing a new piston in a 1967 Mercedes 250S, a camshaft in a 1969 Mercedes 220D (Diesel), and a new motor in a 1978 Chevy Pickup with a 350 Oldsmobile diesel.
